Sharing the health impact of climate change at Green Monday's press conference

Professor William Goggins, Honorary Biostatician of CCOUC, attended a press conference organised by Green Monday on Tuesday, 24 September, 2013. The mission of Green Monday is to reduce carbon emissions and lessen individuals' impact on the environment through promoting green diet in Hong Kong. Prof. Goggins shared findings of a recent study, which was published in the World Health Organization Bulletin, on the increase in hospital admissions as a result of higher average daily temperatures. In addition, Mr. David Yeung, co-Founder of Green Monday, presented six new initiatives of the organisation in its mission in promoting green diet during the well-attended press conference.
