Presentation at Asia Pacific Disaster Mental Health Network on healthcare delivery in the Asia Pacific

CCOUC Co-Director, Professor Emily Chan, presented her works in healthcare delivery in various locations in Asia Pacific to academic, government and NGO members of the Asia Pacific Disaster Mental Health Network sponsored by World Health Organization on 8 October 2025.

In this presentation, Professor Chan presented to the audience CCOUC’s works in disaster public health and climate change and health and the delivery of healthcare in the Asia Pacific as the building of preparedness and resilience against climate change and related protracted biological hazards in the region. As Director of the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) International Centre of Excellence (ICoE-CCOUC), she also introduced to the audience the key messages of the IRDR 2024 International Conference, namely actionable science which is usable and to be used, and a research agenda of multidisciplinary actions and addressing wider determinants of health.
