Responding to Climate Change - from Local to Global Cooperation (New)
Programme Overview
Climate change has become a prominent global issue of this century since it has increased the frequency and scale of disasters. Meanwhile, the latest information on climate change and response strategies to it constitutes an important component of local disaster preparedness knowledge.
This seminar will discuss climate change response strategies and the roles of various stakeholders in the international cooperation from the perspectives of climate change and its local and global public health impact in order to assist secondary school teachers to prepare related teaching topics.
Programme Objectives

To enhance participants' knowledge in the issue of climate change in Hong Kong and the world, and its impacts on public health;

To illustrate the direction of response to climate change (mitigation and adaptation);

To discuss the effectiveness and constraints of international cooperation, and from there to assist secondary school teachers in the preparation of related teaching material.
